서강대학교 소장 한글본 『동패낙송』의 선록 및 한글 번역 양상과 그 의미

국문 초록

본고는 서강대본 [동패낙송]의 선록 및 한글 번역 양상을 고찰함으로써 한글본 [동패낙송]의 편찬의도를 살피고 그러한 목적이 향유과정에서 어떻게 변화되었는지 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. 서강대본 [동패낙송]의 선록 양상과 한글 번역 양상을 통해 애초 [동패낙송]의 한글 번역본이 흥미로운 독서물로 기획되었지만, 여성독자에게 교훈을 전달하는 매체로 한글본 [동패낙송]을 활용하려는 방향으로 그 목적이 바뀌기도 하면서 향유되어 왔음을 확인하였다. 즉 한글로 번역된 양상에서는 흥미로운 서사물로 한글 번역본 동패낙송을 편찬했 던 애초의 의도를 가늠하였다면, 선록 양상에서는 한글본 [동패낙송]이 향유되면서 그 편찬의도가 바뀌어간 일면을 살핀 것이다. 서강대본 [동패낙송]이 보여주는 여성에 대한 교훈적인 매체로서의특징은 17세기 이후 가부장제, 장자 우대 불균등상속제에 따라 발생한 모순들을 해소하려는 시도의 일환으로 여성교육서가 대량으로 산출되었던 조선 후기의 사회현실과 긴밀한 관련이 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to figure out the intention for compilation and translation of [Dongpaenaksong] (Seokang University Library collection), by considering the enjoyment aspect of its readers. Through, this study it could be found out that the initial compilation of [Dongpaenaksong] was merely for interesting reading. However, later compilation of [Dongpaenaksong] which is now preserved in Seokang University Library, shows a shift in the purpose of its compilation. The version of Dongpaenaksong (Seokang University Library collection) is aimed to educate woman. In other words, It could be discovered the initial intention of compilation of Version of [Dongpaenaksong] translated in Hangeul by considering aspects of translation, and the late intention of compilation of Version of [Dongpaenaksong] translated in Hangeul by considering aspects of compilation. Therefore It should be considered both aspects of compilation and translation. Such a conversion in the purpose of compilation of [Dongpaenaksong], reflects the thought process of that period. After 17th century, numerous books were compiled and published to educate the woman to solve the problems of the patriarchal system. Version ofDongpaenaksong preserved at Seokang University is one of them.
