영문 초록

Purpose: This study was to examine the effects of the application of elastic compression stockings on edema and pain of lower extremity edema and pain of student nurses during clinical practice. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and independent t-test using SPSS Win 20.0 program. Results: Results showed significant differences in lower extremity edema (Rt. ankle: t=-6.524, p=.001, Lt. ankle: t=-6.163, p=.001 / Rt. calf : t=-6.419, p=.001, Lt. calf: t=-7.295, p=.001). and lower extremity pain (Rt. : t=-7.497, p=.001 / Lt. : t=-8.739, p=.001). Conclusion: : The results of this study revealed that the application of elastic compression stockings on lower extremity during hours of practical training is effective in relieving the edema and pain of student nurses.
