뇌교육 기반 인성계발 통합프로그램이 아동의 자아존중감 및 사회성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 교과, 창의적체험활동, 가정 연계 등 학교 교육과정 뿐만아니라, 가정 및 일상생활 속에서 실천할 수 있는 뇌교육 기반 인성계발통합프로그램을 개발하는 것은 물론, 그에 따른 인성 역량을 함양할 수 있는 효과성을 검증하는데 그 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 2014년 3월부터 2015년 3월까지 D광역시에 위치한 A초등학교 5학년 30명, 6학년 26명 등 총 56명을 실험집단으로 선정하고 A초등학교 5학년 28명 6학년 32명 등 총 60명을 비교집단으로 선정하였다. 본 연구의 결론을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 뇌교육 기반 인성계발 통합프로그램은 개인적 차원의 자아존중감과 사회적 차원의 사회성도 함양할 수 있으므로 학습자 개인의 자아실현은 물론, 공동체의식도 향상시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 뇌교육 기반 인성계발 통합프로그램은 뇌체조, 명상, 사랑주기, 칭찬하기 등 뇌과학에 기반한 다양한 인성활동으로 이루어져 있기 때문에, 학교 교육 현장에 효과적으로 적용하기 위해서는 먼저 모든 교원을 대상으로 교사 연수 프로그램을 개발하여 운영할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study set out to develop an integrated brain education-based character development program applicable to family and daily life as well as the school curriculums including the subjects, creative experiential activities, and linkage with families and also test its effects on the cultivation of character competence. For those purposes, the investigator formed an experiment group with total 56 elementary students including 30 fifth graders and 26 sixth graders at A Elementary School in D Metropolitan City and a comparison group with total 60 students including 28 fifth graders and 32 sixth graders at the same school from March, 2014 to March, 2015. The study reached the following conclusions: first, the integrated brain education-based character development program turned out to enhance their self-esteem at the individual level and their sociability at the social level, thus promoting the self-realization of individual students and also their community spirit. Secondly, the integrated brain education-based character development program can be applied to both common students and students of special education by implementing brain science- and brain education-based character activities including brain gymnastics, meditation, loving, and praising.
