영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact on consciousness of role of park by value change of neighborhood and park after waterside park improvement business in Gyeongsan. The case park was originally an undredged pond that had no rest area ; however, in 2014, the park was improved through the addition of green space and user facilities. This study surveyed 197 dwellers who live around the park to solicit their opinions about neighborhood mood and awareness of the role of the changed park. The analysis consisted of frequency calculations and multiple regression analysis. The survey results revealed that, first, after the pond improvement, the value awareness on the neighborhood was positive, the inhabitants were satisfied with changes, and the village's image increased. The value of the park with regard to availability, need, and historical meaning also increased. Second, the survey respondents felt that the park improvement affected the social psychological aspects more strongly than the spatial aspects. In other words, the residents thought that the changed park enhanced emotional stability, health, and social interchange. Third, with multiple regression analysis, image and neighborhood attachment, satisfaction, and need of park were the main variables for the social psychological role of the park; satisfaction and image of village, satisfaction and availability of the park were important factors for the park's spatial role.
