중국 해서경제구 개발이 대만의 직접투자에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중국대륙의 동부 연안에 위치한 복건성이 주축이 되는 해서경제구의 개발 계획과 그 자체적인 발전 가능성에 분석해보고, 이 지역의 주요 투자유치 대상인 대만자본의 집적투자의 득과 실에 대해 고찰하였다. 지금까지 중국대륙은 동부 연안의 경제개발구를 성공적으로 발전시켜 국제수준에 올려놓았지만, 해서경제구의 제반 여건은 이전의 경제개발구에 비해 많이 뒤처지는 상황이라고 판단된다. 따라서 해서경제구 건설을 위해서는 대만의 직접투자가 절실한 상황이나, 대만은 경제적인 이익 이상으로 정치적인 계산 및 국내 여론 분열로 인해 해서경제구 건설을 중국대륙의 통일전략으로 받아들일 가능성이 있어 해당 지역에 대한 직접투자에 적극적이지 않을 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 중국대륙이 최근 전략적으로 추진하고 있는 일대일로와 자유무역시험구정책은 해서경제구에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 전망이므로, 그 경제적 기대효과가 정치적 요인을 초월할 경우 대만의 해서경제구에 대한 투자가 확대될 가능성도 존재한다.

영문 초록

Purpose : This study analyzed the status of West Coast Economic Zone(WCEZ) in China, which Fujian Province plays a main role and Taiwan's direct investment to this zone. Research design, data, methodology : This paper used literature review and statistics analysis. Results : China has successfully developed several Economic Development Zone of the East Coast at the international level, it is the big challenge for Chinese government to develop WCEZ because its overall conditions are lagging behind. Taiwan's investment will be the very important to WCEZ development, while Taiwan government considers that Chinese government is trying to use WCEZ politically and maintains a lukewarm attitude to participate in its development. Conclusions : As through the in this study as Fujian Province becomes a strategic foothold of "The Belt and Road Initiative" and Pilot Free Trade Zone, it is possible for Taiwan to increase investment to WCEZ.
