The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between personal values and travel Preference styles, psychological variables for more understanding of vacation behavior by examining the factor structures of the two scales, Kahle's LOV(l983) and Mo's ITR(l991) in tourism context and analyzing the relationships between factors of personal values and of travel preference styles. The factor structure of personal values, measured by the scale used in LOV(Kahle, 1983) shows 8 items and 2 factors model; Internal values, External values. The factor structure of travel preference styles, measured by the scale used in ITR(Mo, 1991) shows 15 items and 3 factors model; DOD(Destination Oriented Dimension), TSD(Travel Services Dimension), SCD(Social Contact Dimension). For the relationship between the variables of Personal Values and Travel Preference Styles, Internal values have statistically significant connection with DOD, TSD and External values with DOD, SCD. DOD of Travel Preference Styles are showed to be related to Internal/External values. Understanding of the profiles of vacationers with this study results would help marketers to decide a target market through market segmentation, and to establish marketing strategies focusing on the target market for selling and advertising tour products developed to satisfy its constituent consumers' demands. Also, this study could be a groundwork for the study of tourists' behavior
