영문 초록

This study focuses on the motivation of volunteers taking part in 2002 Busan Asian Game on the satisfaction and self-esteem of volunteers. In line with the extant literature on role conflict, it is argued that role conflict has the moderating effect on the relations with motivation and satisfaction/self-esteem of volunteers. During October 3~17, 2002, a self-administered survey was conducted for 500 Asian Game volunteers. 408 of sample were analyzed Moderated regression analysis was adopted to examine six hypotheses. The findings of this study are that intrinsic motivation of volunteers is positively influenced to satisfaction and self-esteem, but extrinsic motivation is negatively related to satisfaction and self-esteem In addition, time-related role conflict has negative moderating effects on the relations with motivation and satisfaction/self-esteem of volunteers. The implication and suggestions of this study are discussed.
