국문 초록

본 연구는 지역애착심과, 관광개발선호, 평가, 만족 및 지역주민의 인구통계적 특성과 관광개발지지 및 효과인식과의 관계를 고찰하기 위한 연구이다. 문헌연구를 통해 각 개념들의 측정척도를 개발하였고, 강원도지역 관광지 주민들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 지역애착심, 관광개발선호 및 관광개발 평가는 관광개발에 대한 지역주민의 지지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났으나, 관광개발에 대한 만족은 관광개발지지에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 한편 관광개발의 효과 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변수로는 지역애착심, 관광개발선호 및 만족으로 나타났다. 또한 관광개발의 지지와 효과성에 대한 인식은 지역주민의 인구통계적 특성에 따라 상이하다는 사실이 규명되었다. 이상의 결과는 관광개발자들과 정책입안자들이 관광지를 개발하는 과정에서 지역주민의 장소애착심과 관광개발에 대한 태도를 고려해야 한다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was to investigate relationship of place attachment, priority, evaluation, satisfaction toward tourism development, demographic attributes of residents and support toward tourism development, cognition of tourism development effectiveness. Based on literature review, the measurement scales of each concepts were developed. The data was collected from residents who lived in Kangwon Province, which includes number of different tourism resources and tourism destinations. The results of this study showed that residents' support toward tourism development was positively affected by place attachment, priority, evaluation of tourism development, but satisfaction had an negative effect on support toward tourism development. On the other cognition of tourism development effectiveness was positively infected by factors as follows: place attachment, priority and satisfaction with tourism development. Also it was indicated that support and cognition of effectiveness of tourism development were differently evaluated according to residents' demographic attributes. These results imply that tourism developers and policy makers need to consider residents' place attachment and attitude toward tourism development while they develop tourism destination areas.
