관광지로서의 궁궐 공간의 관람객 수용력에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 다양한 궁궐 활용 프로그램이 운영되면서 궁궐에 대한 관광수요가 증가하고 있는 현 시점에서 경복궁의 적정한 수용력을 측정하여 향후 관람객 간의 혼잡현상을 막고 궁궐의 훼손을 방지하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 궁궐 내 관람 가능한 이용공간의 면적을 측정하고, 두 차례 현장관측을 통해 관람객의 행태자료를 수집하였다. 경복궁의 물리적 수용력은 궁궐 관람을 목적으로 할 경우 1인당 점유면적을 고려한 후 체류지 별 면적에 따른 가중치를 감안한 가중평균을 도입해 계산되었다. 본 연구에서 도출된 수용력 모형에 따라 경복궁의 수용력을 분석한 결과, 순간 최대수용력은 평균 10,362명으로 산정되었고, 하루 최대수용력은 평균 39,805명으로 나타났다. 그리고 야간개장 시 순간 최대수용력은 1,075명으로 추정되었다. 끝으로, 본 연구를 시작으로 궁궐 수용력에 대한 분석이 보다 엄밀하게 수행되기 위해서는 관리적 수용력에 대한 적극적인 관심이 필요함을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to prevent the congestion between visitors and the damage palace. On the base that various palaces leverage since the program is run, tourism demand of the palace is on the rise, we measured the proper carrying capacity of Gyeongbokgung Palace which is one of the most famous palaces. First of all, we measured the viewing area of space in the palace, and collected the behavior data of visitors through two times on-site observation. Physical capacity of Gyeongbokgung Palace was considered by occupied area per person for the purposes of viewing the palace. Also we was considering the weights according to the area of different residence, and the each area of different residence was calculated by the weighted average. We fouded several results from the analysis of the carrying capacity of Gyeongbokgung Palace based on the capacity model. Moment peak capacity was calculated by 10,632 people on average, daily peak capacity was 39,805 people on average, and moment peak capacity of night open time was estimated to be 1,075 people. For more accurate analysis of palace capacity, active interest for administrative capacity is required.
