영문 초록

In this study, the policy measures for the border region in Korea are explored to suggest an effective way to better off the regional economy and the people in the region. The analysis focuses on evaluating the actual results for the projects implementing for the border region from 2003 to 2008, and measures the effectiveness of them based upon the time-series statistical model. The policy measures for the Korean border region was examined by the analyses for the appraisal of the actual projects and spill-over-effects. The analysis shows that the policy measures for the region is not effective due to the individual approaches by government departments without consensus about reunification strategies. Also the statistical analysis shows that the some of actual projects are effective but others is limited. Based upon the analyses, it is argued that the policy measures for the Korea border region is needed to correct the legislation first. After this, compensation for sacrificing the opportunities for development and priority of the region has to be established in the legislation.
