충남지역 극장현황 연구:천안아산지역을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 충청남도, 그것도 천안아산지역의 극장현황에 주목하고자 한다. 충남지역은 멀티플렉스의 수가 적고 다른 지역보다 멀티플렉스의 진행속도가 느린 지역중 하나이다. 이는 지속적인 인구유입과 도시화로 전국에서 가장 많은 멀티 플렉스를 보유한 경기도와 극명한 대비를 보인다. 따라서 이 글은 1990년대 후반 멀티플렉스 등장 이전까지 충남지역 극장의 성장과 변화를 살펴보고 그중에서도 천안아산지역에서 단관극장으로부터 멀티플렉 스로의 전환지점을 둘러싼 전후 상황을 살펴볼 것이다. 이는 영화진흥공사(영화진흥위원회의 전신)과 충청남도의 극장 관련 다양한 통계와 언론 기사. 천안시와 아산시에서 그 시절의 관람 경험이 있는 수용자를 중심으로 한 특정 시기의 극장에 대한 기억을 고찰할 것이다. 그리고 이에 기반하여 이후 멀티플렉스시대의 천안 아산지역의 관객이 영화텍스트를 공유하면서 문화를 만들어가는 커뮤니티 활동을 살펴보고자 한다. 천안아산지역의 극장문화 연구는 충남지역안에서도 급격하게 인구수가 늘고 있고 여러 대학들이 밀집해있으며 지역개발의 속도 또한 남다른 이 지역의 특성과 현재와 같은 다매체 영상시대 영화 문화 향유와 지역 간 영상문화차이를 정책 수립에 반영할 수 있는 중요한 과정이 될 수 있다. 이는 멀티플렉스시대 천안 아산지역의 극장 현황과 가능성, 나아가 이 지역에 맞는 지역민의 문화향유가능성을 모색해보고자 하는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study takes notice of ‘Movie-Houses circumstances’ of Chungnam Province, especially Cheonan-si and Asan-si Areas. For Chungnam Province, that is one of the areas showing the slow progress turning into the multiplex cinema. This is in sharp contrast to Gyeonggi-do Province, now having the largest number of the multiplex cinema throughout the country, owing to the continuous population influx and rapid urbanization. At First, this work examines the growth and change in the Movie-Houses of Chungnam Province, until the multiplex appearance in the late 1990s and then finds out the situation surrounding the turning point for the theater with a screen (“danguan geukgang”)changing into the multiplex cinema in Cheonan-si and Asan-si Areas. This means consulting theater-related and varied statistics of KOFIC and Chungnam Province and and checking out vivid memories of audiences with experience going to movie, in addition to the related media report. Accordingly, I will find out community activity, sharing the film text and making local culture by the audience of Cheonan-si and Asan-si Areas in the era of multiplex. For Cheonan-si and Asan-si Areas, there are the population increase in numbers sharply of among Chungnam Province and the educational institution including university are concentrated, outstanding features, in the pace of regional development. However, it is important process enjoying film culture in multi-media visual era and lessening film-viewing cultural gap among regions will feed into policy-making, in the era of multiplex. And it is will be trying to find in Movie-Houses circumstances and prospect, enjoying possibility in local culture that are right for Cheonan-si and Asan-si Areas in the era of multiplex.
