특수교육대상자 특별전형으로 입학한 장애신입생들의 대학생활 적응에 관한 인식 조사

국문 초록

일반학생들의 대학생활 적응에 대한 연구에서 부모의 학력 및 사회경제적 지위가 중요한 변인들로 인식되어가고 있음에도 불구하고, 아직 장애학생들의 대학생활 적응 연구에서 가족 변인들을 고려한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 특수교육대상자 특별전형으로 입학한 대학신입생들의 대학생활 적응에 대한 인식 조사뿐만 아니라 대학생활 적응에 중요한 영향을 미치는 개인 변인 및 가족 변인들에 따른 인식 차이를 조사하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 실현하기 위하여 상위 100위권의 4년제 대학에서 한 학기를 보낸 장애를 가진 대학신입생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 상위 100위권의 4년제 대학에 특수교육대상자 특별전형으로 입학한 장애신입생들은 전체적으로 대학생활 적응에 대해서 보통 수준이었으며, 하위영역들 중에서 가장 낮은 영역은 개인-정서적응 영역이었다. 개인 변인들(성별, 장애유형, 출신고등학교 유형)에 따른 대학생활 적응에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 가족 변인들에 따른 대학생활 적응에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이들이 있었다. 구체적으로 아버지의 학력과 가족의 월 소득에서 대학생활 적응에 통계적으로 유의한 차이들이 있었다.

영문 초록

Although it gradually grows the importance of family variables such as parents' education and socioeconomic status in the research for college adaptation of students without disabilities, these variables are rarely found in the studies related to college adaptation for students with disabilities. Therefore, this study is designed to investigate the perceptions of college students with disabilities on college adaptation as well as the differences in their perceptions by personal and family variables. To fulfill the purposes of the study, the survey was implemented toward freshmen with disabilities admitted through special admission among the top 1-100 4-year colleges. According to the results obtained from 207 surveys, the participants reported they were adapted neutrally. In addition, the lowest subarea among the four college adaptation areas was personal-emotional adaptation. While there were no significant differences among personal variables, there were significant differences among family variables, especially fathers' obtained degree and family incomes.
