영문 초록

The purpose of this article is to discuss complex sentences comprised of a main clause and a modifier embedded clause and show how they are mapped to present participle constructions. This study will answer two research questions. First, when the modifier embedded clause is mapped to present participle constructions, why is it that the embedded clause complementizers because, since, and as should always be omitted? Second, when the modifier embedded clause is mapped to present participle constructions, why is it that all the embedded clause complementizer should be omitted when the embedded clause subject differs from the main clause subject?
