언어네트워크방법론을 활용한 대(對)테러리즘 관련 뉴스의 경향분석

국문 초록

국제테러리즘이 증가하고 있는 현 시점에 2008년부터 2014년까지 뉴스전문채널인 YTN을 포함한 6개 방송사에서 보도한 국제테러리즘 관련 사건과 사고, 그리고 이와 관련된 법률의 제ㆍ개정 및 정책 시행 등의 뉴스를 언어네트워크방법론(semantic network analysis)을 활용하여 분석하였는데, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 2008년부터 2014년까지 보도된 대(對)테러리즘 관련 뉴스의 핵심주제어는 "테러", "미(미국)", "알카에다", "폭탄" 등의 순으로 빈도가 높았다. 다음으로, 2008년부터 2014년까지 연결중심성이 높은 주제어는 "테러"로 밝혀졌다. 그리고 각 연도별 연결중심성을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 2008년은 "테러방지법", "제정", "대테러"가 높았고, 2009년은 "사망", "미(미국)", "폭탄"이 높았으며, 2010년은 "미(미국)", "경고", "폭탄", "위협"의 순으로 나타났다. 2011년은 "미(미국)", "알카에다", "이슬람"이 높았고, 2012년은 "미(미국)", "사망", "알카에다", "이슬람"이 높았으며, 2013년은 "알카에다", "사망", "미(미국)", 2014년은 "이집트", "미(미국)"의 순으로 도출되었다. 마지막으로, 이러한 분석결과가 대(對)테러리즘 관련 연구의 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

As the international terrorism increased, we analyzed the news on events and accidents of international terrorism, enactment and revision of laws on international terrorism and policy enforcement broadcast on 6 broadcasting companies of news channels including YTN between 2008 and 2014 using semantic network analysis. The results are as follows. First the main theme words for Counter-Terrorism news broadcast between 2008 and 2014 were "terror", "America", "Al-Qaeda" and "bomb". In the flow of patterns between 2008 and 2014, the theme words that have high connection integrity for each year was "terror". The connection integrity for each year was as follows. First, in 2008, the words "Anti-Terrorism Act", "enactment" and "Counter-Terrorism" appeared more frequently. In 2009, the words "death", "America" and "bomb" appeared more frequently. In 2010, the words "America", "warning", "bomb" and "threat" appeared more frequently. In 2011, the words "America", "Al-Qadea" and "Islam" appeared more frequently. In 2012, the words, "America", "death", "Al-Qadea" and "Islam" appeared more frequently. In 2013, the words "Al-Qadea", "death" and "America" appeared more frequently. In 2014, the words "Egypt" and "America" appeared more frequently. The semantic network analysis that was used for this study is not popular now. But it is expected that this study could be used as basic data for pattern analysis on the news about Counter-Terrorism.
