국문 초록

전통시장은 대형유통업체의 등장으로 인하여 점차 쇠락하고 있으며, 중앙정부 및 지자체는 전통시장을 지원하기 위한 다양한 정책을 실시하고 있다. 효과적인 정책의 수행을 위해서는 대형유통업체로 인한 전통시장의 피해를 정확하게 인식하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 전통시장의 피해를 분석하기 위하여 널리 활용되는 전통시장 상인 설문자료에 대한 신뢰도가 매우 떨어지는 상황이다. 이와 같은 상황에서 본 연구는 신뢰하기 어려운 상인설문 자료를 활용하지 않고 대형유통업체의 입점에 따른 전통시장의 피해를 예측할 수 있는 대안적인 방법론을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 모든 지자체들이 쉽게 구축할 수 있는 소비행태 설문자료, 인구통계자료, GIS를 통해 구축된 입지자료를 활용하였으며, Huff 모형을 일부 개량하여 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 개발된 방법론은 전통시장 상인과 대형유통업체가 첨예한 갈등을 겪고 있는 지자체에서 정책적인 갈등 조정 및 지원방안의 구체적인 근거마련을 위하여 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES There are some problems to estimate accurate damage to traditional market from opening large-scale retailer because of shortage of accurate data. Therefore, this study aims to develop alternative methodology for forecasting damage of traditional market. (2) RESEARCH METHOD We used modified Huff model with demographic data & consumer survey data to estimate accurate damage to traditional market from opening large-scale retailer. (3) RESEARCH FINDING We developed alternative prediction methodology of damage to traditional market that can be easily used local government. Because, this methodology are using data which can be built and managed by local government. 2. RESULTS The result of this study can be used for traditional market supporting policies and large-scale retailer regulation policies by local governments.
