영문 초록

The treatment of elderly depression is major impact on patients’s well-being, personal, social, and familial achievement. Recently elderly depression has been growing importance due to rapidly increasing elderly population. Elderly depression characterized by thought-cognition and somatic manifestations than mood-affect and psychomotor activity. And it also associated with comorbid mental or physical conditions that lead to a decrease in life expectancy. Treatment of elderly depression is composed of physical and various psychosocial treatments. Pharmacological treatments has been focused due to development of molecular biology. Although recent treatment of elderly depression focused emphasized on antidepressants treatments but psychosocial intervention must be included.
