영문 초록

This study examined the specific features of cognitive patterns and information processing of high-functional pervasive developmental disorder and differences between high-functional pervasive developmental disorder and schizophrenia through the results of Rorschach technique and WAIA-R of a male subject. The subject was suffering from high-functional pervasive developmental disorder as he was suspected to onset Schizophrenia because of delusions of persecution and distortions of recognition in the interpersonal communication. The quantitative results of the Rorschach were seemingly similar to schizophrenia, but the results of response sequence analysis of the Rorschach showed several obvious different features when compared to schizophrenia. The results of WAIS-R confirmed that there were obvious deficits in Comprehen sion and Vocabulary despite his high-functions in Digit Span, Arithme tic, and Similarities. Moreover, every story of Picture Arrangement that was composed by the subject as an attempt to examine information processing suggested the deficit in semantic interpretation ability for understanding common context. As a result, the Rorschach technique and WAIS-R are useful tools in the differential diagnosis between high-functional pervasive developmental disorder and schizophrenia, and provide various suggestions to understand the specific features in cognitive patterns and information processing of High-functional pervasive developmental disorder.
