영문 초록

In the 21st century cultural performance arts, support policies and successful theater management are very important concerns. Their importance is far greater because of present difficult economic and social situations in the world. Such difficulties are also the same in Germany where the theater support system is most developed. Until now, because German plays have had the most stable and leading role in the history of world plays, such situations in Germany are really very surprising. In this study, the researcher examines how the exemplary theater support and performance styles of German plays, which started to have regular styles after formation of the bourgeoisie, are formed inside Germany. The researcher also studies measures German theaters have struggled with and solved problems independently under the sudden economic difficulties that hit Germany since German unification in the 1990s. Especially, German plans and strategies such as opening of various play festivals held mainly by theaters, active theater management and marketing policies and events seeking to expand customer bases, etc. These give a very important message to the Korean theatrical world at present, expecting to face the World Great Depression.
