영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to survey manufacturing factories in order to develop a work-based job training program for students with mental retardation who are in post secondary special schools. In this study, 351 manufacturing factories were surveyed by mail and interview. Among the total of 351 questionnaires, only 32 were analysed because of their full responses. The results were as follows. Most factories and shops did not want to be job training settings for students with mental retardation. They have seldom hired individuals with disabilities. Moreover, they showed a negative attitude on future job openings for individuals with disabilities. However, over a half percent of factories agreed that a work-based job training program is necessary to job success of students with mental retardation. They also had an high expectation on the possibility of job adjustment of students with mental retardation.
