영문 초록

Fifty years ago the British scientist C. P. Snow, addressed the breakdown of communication between' the "two cultures" of modern society -the sciences and the humanities. There are lots of differences in the cultural or academic activities of the humanities and sciences. Mathematicians and scientists use mathematical languages in common to study nature, materials and civil artefacts. But Humanists are interested in man, minds, languages, religions, philosophy, history, arts and cultures. Owing to the media and the cultural revolution by information technologies, human imaginations and desires for beauties will drive new cultures in which, humanities, mathematics and sciences are integrated. Mathematicians are also interested in arts, cultures and creativity that are more valuable than logic and truth. In order to create a bridge between the two cultures, the first step is to contact and enjoy the other culture's products, activities, and ideas with meaningful eyes. Thus, we can communicate and exchange ideas each other.
