This study is aimed to establish basic data for beauty design in terms of creation of meaning, not just focusing on shape and function only by developing a concept through storytelling. The results of the teaching & learning model are as follows:
First, storytelling which is the goal of learning in beauty design refers to communication by composing a story in creative beauty design. In terms of communication, the recreated design was fun, comprehensive and highly efficient in delivering meaning. Second, a concept of storytelling-based beauty design makes design meaningful and valuable by accepting the fun of knowledge. Third, storytelling makes learning interesting and motivates people to learn. In fact, it is significant in that it draws active participation. As a result, it brings intrinsic motivation and enhances learning effects. Fourth, storytelling-based art makeup course helps students build cognitive analysis skills and diversity in expressions with beauty design programs for creation of meaning.
