영문 초록

In this study, we have tried to analyze empirically the regional export volume of Korea based on the gravity model. In Particular, we have constructed the m여ified gravity equation by introducing export market accessibility index instead of physical distance to take into account the geographical characteristics of Korea. The main conclusion of the study are as follows. First, the newly introduced export market accessibility index is a good alternative for the physical distance in previous gravity model. Second, this means that the gravity model can be applied to the analysis of regional export volume of Korea. Those results suggest that the policies to improve accessibility to export markets may have the effect of increasing the volume of regional export. In the theoretical aspects, those results mean that we can find the factors to affect the volume of regional export based on the gravity model.
