영문 초록

This paper provides a comparison and analysis of job requirements in logistics for university graduates. Over 300 job advertisements collected from online job sites and companies' homepage, and 73 syllabi containing logistics topics were analysed to explore the relations between supply and demand of skills that employers want from job seekers by conducting content analysis. This enabled us to compare the relative importance of logistics topics to employers on the demand side with the relative importance of logistics curricula on the supply side in universities. From the analyses we identify that supply usually matches demand, however, there may be an undersupply of practice-oriented topics such as vendor management, forecasting and ERP systems. In addition, there may be oversupply of strategy-oriented topics such as global issues, emerging information technology and organizational issues.
