영문 초록

After the global financial crisis, China is driving internationalization of the Renminbi at Hongkong’s financial market. The major reasons for renminbi internationalization policy are due to the controls of huge foreign reserves and the needs for higher status at the international financial market. Although renminbi internationalization is the ultimate goal of China, it would face difficulties in making further progress without prior measures for financial openness. Therefore, renminbi internationalization will be driven with the expansion of trade settlement and development of offshore Hongkong market.
