영문 초록

This study is to explore the planned operation direction for resettlement of the indigenous self-employed in Urban Improvement Project Areas. Urban Improvement Project was introduced to overcome the regional inequality within urban area and accomplish the urban gentrification. However, it seemed to be failed since it has been focused on the physically deteriorated housing and neglected the small businesses within Urban Improvement Project Areas. Urban Improvement Project Areas. Urban Improvement Project was introduced to overcome the regional inequality within urban area and accomplish the urban gentrification. However, it seemed to be failed since it has been focused on the physically deteriorated housing and neglected the small businesses within Urban Improvement Project Areas. Therefore, new plan techniques should be applied for job to be created or supplied in Urban Improvement Project Areas. For this, temporary markets and factories need to be supplied during period of development. After development, Public Rental Stores for modernized traditional markets and apartment factories of low-income group should be supplied under the low rent. Public Rental Stores can construct on donated lands or buildings in Urban Improvement Project Areas. A survey conducted on the self-employed who lived in or near Urban Improvement Project Areas, using random sampling. A key conclusion is that Public Rental Stores needless to say Public Rental Houses should be supplied to overcome the regional inequality within urban area and accomplish the urban gentrification.
