Defining the concept of the system • Homes and buildings have much potential for saving energy. • The system could be applied for new bUildings as well as old ones. • The system could be compatible with old home appliances without specific interfaces. • Wireless sensor network is the best solution for them. • Zig Bee is selected as the communication interface of wireless sensors. • Cheap price • Less power consumption • Easy to extend the network • Effective management of the information from the wireless sensors is required. • Management system should be accessible by other network devices with different interfaces such as xDSL, Ethernet and WiFi. • Intelligent home gateway.
