영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the difference of job stress and coping strategies among nurses working at multiple wards. Methods: In this cross sectional descriptive study, the data for job stress and coping strategies were collected by 285 nurses with self-administrated questionnaire. Results: There were no significant differences among groups in coping strategy according to the wards. In job stress according to the wards, nurses in psychiatric and special wards felt more stressful than those in general wards significantly. In comparison of long term coping strategy, there was a statistically significant difference among groups. The order was general wards, special wards and psychiatric wards. Conclusion: It is urgent to develop a preventive education program to reduce the job stress of nurses working in psychiatric wards.
