영문 초록

Chosun conquered Tsushima and incorporated it into the territory of Gyeongsang Province and the head of Tsushima became a Japanese islandrecipient receiving an island from Chosun Dynasty. Chosun recognized Tsushima as its territory and had Tsushima Frontier Awareness or Tsushima Territory Awareness recognizing Tsushima as its Eastern barrier. Tsushima played an initiative role in the control by means of an entry visa, system of munin, and the control of a trader, and Tsushima appeared high in the center of Korea-Japan diplomacy. Later Tsushima was incorporated into Japanese Makbeon Regime in early 17th century just after Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, and it has been under Japanese effective control up to the present. This research analyzes the background that Tsushima had maintained a dual subordinating diplomacy with Korea and Japan in the history got away from Chosun Government and the reason why Chosun Government didn’t resist the Japanese abrupt incorporation of Tsushima into Japanese territory through the analysis of the policy of Chosun Dynasty.
