국문 초록

오늘날 조형 예술의 확대와 함께 소재 개발에 관한 지속적인 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그에 따라 재료 사용에 있어서 새롭고 다양한 변화들이 시도되고 있는 추세이다. 닥섬유는 한지의 원료로서 자연으로부터 채취한 닥나무 껍질을 전통적인 가공 방법으로 제조된다. 이는 독특한 재질감과 자유로운 색상으로 다양한 표현이 가능한 소재이며, 고감도 환경 친화적 소재로서 유연성이 크고 탄성적인 질감이 강하다. 컬러믹스란 색의 혼합, 즉 혼색조를 이야기 하는 것으로 본 연구에서는 친환경 소재인 닥섬유와 컬러를 활용하여 새로운 조형예술의 표현재료를 개발하였으며, 이 재료를 닥섬유 컬러믹스로 본 연구의 논술을 위하여 지칭을 한정하였다. 환경오염 및 화학적 반응에 노출되어있는 현대인들에게 닥섬유의 새로운 소재 개발은 친환경적 요소와 접함으로서 건강한 삶을 추구하고자 하는 현대인들의 라이프스타일에 부합된다고 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구는 컬러믹스의 주재료인 닥섬유에 관한 일반적인 속성에 대해 고찰해 보고, 닥섬유를 이용하여 컬러믹스라는 조형미술의 새로운 소재를 개발함으로서 그 예술적 가치를 인정하고, 다양한 기법과 새로운 표현 가능성을 제시하며 미적 가능성을 확대하고, 닥섬유 컬러믹스의 조형적 요소들을 분석하였다.

영문 초록

Nowadays, continuous studies on developing materials are in progress, as formative arts are expanded. So, it’s a recent trend to try new and various changes in using materials. Mulberry textile with unique quality, possible to express colors freely, is produced by processing naturally mulberry barks which are picked in the nature. Mulberry textile, Eco-friendly material, with high sensitivity has excellent flexibility and strong elasticity. Mulberry textile called ‘breathing textile’ with this quality is a nature-friendly natural material. This study developed mulberry color mix as an expression material for new formative art, putting into a practical use the material traits of mulberry, nature-friendly material. Modern citizens are exposed to pollution and chemical response. Developing new material of mulberry indicates the life style of those who want to live a healthy living, because it enables modern citizens to contact Eco-friendly factors. This study, by developing new material of formative art, called color mix, with mulberry textile, aims at recognizing its artistic value, presenting various skills and the possibility of new expression, expanding aesthetic possibility, and exploring more possibilities on the study of formative shapes and material effects. This study examines general traits of mulberry textiles, main materials of mulberry color mix, and puts into a triangular position the conception of mulberry textile color mix through the manufacture process of mulberry textile color mix. In addition this study looked into formative traits, visual, olfactory, and contact traits and effects of mulberry textile color mix and analyzed the media traits and formative factors of mulberry textile color mix as a new material of formative art. This study recognizes the artistic value and suggests the possibility of newly developing formative art, by developing new material of formative art, called mulberry textile color mix.
