This paper is a descriptive study on cultural tourism in Kalumpang and Kerling sub-districts in Hulu Selangor. Both sub-districts are situated at the foothills of Titiwangsa Range. Kalumpang has been famous for its nature charms with its clear water rivers of Sungai Inki that runs through the village. Once a tin mining area, this small town of Kalumpang has a hidden treasure of a community that engage themselves with keris and parang making brought down from generation. On the other hand, Kerling, located before Kalumpang, possess a whole new dimension of religious perspective. Every year, during the Thaipusam celebrations at Batu Caves, devotees would have their celebrations earlier at the famous Arulmigu Sri Subramaniar Temple at Kampung Kuil. The Indian community and the temples have survived the years and boast many stories for younger generations living in plantation estates. The late Tuan Syed Mashor Bin Muhammad Ash-Sahab tomb located at Kampung Kuil is also an evident and provides an image of Selangor civil war during the 19th century. Based on the highlights of the findings on cultural and community resources, this paper put forward an assessment of potential cultural tourism products that can be promoted in both areas.
