영문 초록

Many local governments and municipalities have concerned with tourism development as a major regional development policy in Korea since 1995. The city of Jeongup have been establishing a tourism development planning for developing a four-season tourist destination. What is important is to understand a residents' perception towards tourism resource in their local because tourism resource is an essential element of tourism industry. Furthermore, in order to ensure the success of local tourism development, it is necessary to study perception of local residents. Because of these reasons, this paper is intended as an investigation of residents' perception towards tourism resource in Jeongup.
