Today, there is an entire range of cultural activities, which are offered on tourist destinations, and during which process tourists take a part personally. This is why there are numerous kinds of cultural tourism. Shows in the religious tourism are one of the most significant kinds of cultural tourism.
Tourist believers do not visit places of pilgrimage because tourist advertisements have influence on them. For this reason, pilgrims, even when they are in a great number, do not have characteristics of mass tourists. Religious tourists are interested in holy places mostly, and travel because of worships, religious rituals, festivals or some other religious attractions. Based on the mentioned motives, and according to Nolan, religious tourist activities can be divided into: pilgrimage shrines, religious tourist attractions and places of religious festivals.
