영문 초록

The paper focuses on the restoration and development planning of Wenzhou Yongchang castle site which was built 450 years ago as a nongovernmental defence work for resisting Japanese invader in Wenzhou. By investigating the evolution history of the castle, the current situation of the heritage architecture and facilities; analysing the rational distribution of the ancient fortified buildings, riverways, farming fields, bridges and alleys and residence patches in the castle; appraising the landscape characteristics and social value of the cultural relic. It identified the unique ancient planning and architecture culture and the distinctive multi- social culture in the castle site during Ming and Qing dynasties, including the clan culture, farming and reading culture, traditional festivals and customs ,various folk handicrafts in this historic watery country. The guiding ideology for restoration and utility ways are presented based on the principles of conforming to the integrity of historical culture heritage, protecting the aboriginality and authenticity of traditional culture. The exploitation of Yongchang castle is the convincing evidence of endless braveness and wisdom of local p대ple defencing the homeland at that time.
