영문 초록

The Lists of the UNESCO’s 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (or “ICH”) may be seen as a device to transform the symbolic values of heritage, in a manner similar to the World Heritage List. For the 2003 Convention, the implications of the Lists need to be considered both for the ICH to be listed internationally and the communities concerned. Furthermore, it is important to pay attention to the context whereby an element of ICH and the concerned community may be situated, as is shown by the case of Hayachine Kagura, Japanese performing art inscribed on the Representative List in 2009.
