영문 초록

Airline industry plays important role in the world economy. Airlines bring some economic and social benefit of the region where they operate. Low cost carriers (LCC’s) are the one of the fast growing and important part of the airline industry since they start operate late 70’s. Tourism is a major actor for Turkish economy. Turkish tourism industry maturated after late 80’s and now one of the most important industries for Turkish economy. After deregulation in 1980 private Turkish airlines established, and after 2002 private Turkish airlines started operate in domestic routes independently. Some Turkish airlines make operate as a LCC’s business model. LCC’s is playing more important role day by day in Turkish aviation and tourism industry. This paper is examining the role of LCC’s in Turkish aviation and tourism industry.
