일반교사의 지적장애 학생을 위한 사회과 교수적 수정 지도안 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 일반교사에게 지적장애 학생을 고려하여 수업지도안을 수정하게 하였을 때, 어떠한 교수적 수정 방법을 사용하는지, 그리고 그 수업지도안은 좋은 수업의 특성을 반영하는지 알고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 일반교사에게 지적장애 학생 1명이 통합학급에서 사회과 수업을 받는 모습이 담긴 동영상을 제공한 후, 이 학생의 수업 참여를 위해 3학년 1학기 사회과 ‘우리 고장의 모습’ 단원 3차시분에 대한 지도안을 수정하도록 하였다. 그리고 나서 교수적 수정의 양상과 좋은 수업의 특성이 교사들의 배경변인(통합학급 경험 유무와 경력)에 따라 어떻게 다른지 비교하였다. 총 40개의 수업지도안을 분석한 결과 통합학급 담당 경험이 있는 집단과 5년 이하의 저경력 교사가 탐구학습 강조, 아동 주도의 수업, 실생활 강조 면에서 더 긍정적으로 수정을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 협동학습 방법은 고경력 교사가 더 많이 사용하여 수정을 하였다. 구체적인 교수적 수정의 양상이 사례로 제시되었으며, 이에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

In this paper we focus on general teachers' instructional adaptations and the characteristics of the good social studies class by presenting a lesson plan and having the participant teachers adapt it for a student with intellectual disability. We showed a video clip of an integrative social studies class in which a student with intellectual disability was studying with general students; and then, asked the teachers to adapt the lesson plan of “How Our Town Is Like” (Day 3) which is supposed to teach in the first semester of the third year. We compared their lesson plans in terms of the aspects of instructional adaptations and the characteristics of the good social studies class considering their teaching profiles, e.g., teaching career and teaching experience of integrative class. Teachers who had ever taught an integrative class and teachers of below-5-year of teaching experience adapted more positively in emphasis on inquiry-oriented instruction, student-led learning, and emphasis on real life. Meanwhile, experienced teachers adapted cooperative learning in a methodological manner. The participants' instructional adaptations were presented as concrete examples, and discussions were also provided.
