영문 초록

Purpose: This study was to investigate workers' recognitions for occupational health in 30 small- and medium-sized Factories. Method: Data were gathered from 184 workers between October and December, 2008 by using a questionnaire consisting of total 50 items concerning. Collected data were analyzed with frequency analysis and x²-test. Result: As for common characteristics, the workers worked for factories whose personnel number was 50 or less, and belonged to the production department. As for checkups, they said they received checkups once every year. As for the cycle of current checkups, 77.2% answered the cycle seemed to be fine, and there was significant statistical difference(p=0.05). As for health education, 52.2% had no experience of receiving such education. The smaller the factories were, the less health education was provided, and there was statistical significance(p=0.001). As for health managers, 70.1% of the subjects didn't know about them. Although 78.8% felt a need for health managers, there was no significant statistical difference. Conclusion: The results will hopefully serve as important data for health improvement projects of factories based on the workers' recognitions for occupational health in small- and medium-sized factories.
