U-City can be defined as a human-centric intelligent future city where IT-driven ubiquitous technology provides a series of ubiquitous services. However, to realize these services, there are several obstacles to overcome, one of which is to provide an integrated spatial information management platform. This integrated platform is defined as an operational environment where technologies for intelligent management of urban facilities are made possible through the integration of diverse technologies such as sensors for ground and underground facilities, middleware technology, wired and wireless network, GIS-USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) linkage. This paper aims to provide a conceptual architecture for the Integrated Spatial Information Management Platform for U-City. This conceptual architecture is based on the analysis of range of services that have been proposed in various U-City development projects as well as the analysis of existing spatial information management platforms. The proposed conceptual architecture will provide a solid base for future U-City platform development by providing guidelines to make the system interoperable with other systems.
