영문 초록

This paper inquires the activities of the 'Heung-A Association', the pro-Japanese association, organized in Bonchoen, Manchusa in the late 1930s and the tendency of the control of the ideas on the news printed in its organ, Jaemanhanintongshin. The 'Heung-A Association' was organized by the special service agency of the Japanese Imperial Army in the region of Bongcheon in order to guide Koreans' idea in Manchuria. And it had an influence on the tendency of the pro-Japan of the Korean society in Manchuria or at least the control of the ideas through the issue of its organ, the foundations of its branches, the establishment of the school Donggwanghackwon, consultation meetings on the current situation, the collections of contributions for the national defense. In the Jaemanhanintongshin there were many of significant editorials that publicized the superiority of the Japanese system or reflected the Japanese stand of the problems with which the Korean society in Manchuria was confronted, and that were written by the pro-Japanese figures such as Kim Dong-han, Lee Beom-Ick and Seo Beom-Seock. In the newspaper the articles related to the control of ideas chiefly were of the public peace and order in the Manchurian state and of the negative ones on the Soviet Union. The Articles related to the public peace and order were of the conversions of the members of the revolutionary Chosun. Moreover, there were the articles related to the anti-Japanese activities of the Chinese Army and armed groups in it. While in the newspaper there were many of articles about the conversions of the members of national groups in the Korean peninsula and the stabilization of the Kando province. The articles related to the Soviet Union were focused on the unstable domestic politics in Russia, the criticism of the communism and the diplomatic significance of the Anti-Comintern Pact concluded by Germany, Italy and Japan. The recognition of the Soviet Russia in the newspaper means the fact that the Japanese recognition of Russia in that period was an attempt to spread to people the extremely prejudiced and hostile idea based on the defense against communism. I think that the characters of the various attempts for the control of the ideas, which Koreans in Manchuria had, might be found, when the tendency of many of the pro-Japanese Presses in that province in the 1930s in soon analyzed.
