영문 초록

This paper is for explaining(identifying) the features of OhJangHwan as an avant-garde. OhJangHwan, who lived in the colonial era, is evaluated as a modernist mostly due to the various experiments in forms he carried out and the denial of snobbery prevalent in modern times. However, he gave KAPF(Korea Artista Proleta Federatio) meaning of new literature through proses, and showed strong disapproval of modernism trend which focused on only stylistic aspect. The view point which tries to understand integrating these two aspects is advance guard of Avant-garde. In this paper, that 'sadness', the important emotion in colonial era, originates from the frustration of avant-garde's aggression, and that 'port' and 'prostitute', main images appeared in his poems, are related with this are identified. Also, this paper presents a reason that OhJangHwan could manage to make a stubborn resistance while SeoJungJu's denial of the reality was discouraged, although OhJangHwan and SeoJungJu shared the spirit of denial through a share of aboriginality. Considering that OhJangHwan was active as a left wing after liberation, it leads to natural conclusion that the aspect of Utopian anarchism underlying in avant-garde is familiar with utopianism socialists advocate for.
