국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 RFID의 지각된 특성(무선성, 제품식별성, 추적가능성)과 SCM 성과(공급사슬유연성, 고객반응성, 비용절감) 간의 관계를 살펴보고, RFID의 지각된 특성이 SCM 성과를 매개로 기업의 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있다는 것을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해서 실제 RFID 기술을 이용하여 SCM 시스템을 구축한 조직을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, RFID의 3가지 지각된 특성은 모두 비용절감을 통해서 기업의 경쟁우위에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, RFID의 지각된 특성 중에서 추적가능성만이 공급사슬유연성을 통해서 기업의 경쟁우위에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로 기업들이 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위해서는 RFID 기술을 도입하여 SCM의 비용을 절감하고, 제품의 이력 및 위치를 추적할 수 있는 시스템의 도입을 통해 공급사슬유연성을 높여야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Recently the business environment has been changed continuously due to the sharp development of Internet and ICT(Information Communication Technology) such as Wireless Network and Inter-organizational System. Especially, there has been lots of research on practical usage of wireless technology such as RFID and USN. In spite of the increasing interest and case studies of RFID, there are few research on how characteristics of RFID to affect the business performance experimentally. The purpose of this research is to study the causality between fundamental characteristics of RFID and the competitive advantage through SCM performances. To achieve this purpose, data of organizations, which adopted RFID on SCM, were collected. Summaries of result are as follow : 1) The perceived characteristics of RFID(wireless, product identification, traceability) influence on the competitive advantage of organization through the cost reduction which is one of the SCM performances. 2) The traceability influence on the competitive advantage of organization through the supply chain flexibility. Consequently, in order to create a competitive advantage, the cost reduction through RFID is the most effective way. Furthermore, organizations can upgrade their supply chain flexibility through tracing or tracking system.
