정신지체아동과 일반아동의 말주고받기 특성 비교 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 정신지체아동의 말주고받기 특성을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 최소한 2어문이상으로 대화를 주고받을 수 있으며, 언어연령이 3세-4세인 정신지체아동 10명과 이들과 언어연령을 일치시킨 일반아동 10명을 대상으로 아동-연구자간 대화자료를 분석하였다. 말주고받기는 발화의 시도와 반응, 발화 정정과 정정요구, 방해/중복, 인접쌍의 사용 비율을 알아보고, 두 집단간 그 사용비율에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, ‘시도’에서는 집단간 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 그러나 적절한 시도에서는 집단간 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 부적절한 시도에서는 집단간 차이가 없었다. ‘반응’에서는 집단간 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 적절한 반응에서는 집단간 차이가 없었고, 부적절한 반응에서만 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, ‘발화정정’은 나타나지 않았다. ‘정정요구’에서는 집단간 차이가 없었다. 적절한 정정요구와 부적절한 정정요구에서도 집단간 차이는 없었다. 셋째, ‘방해/중복’에서는 집단간 차이가 없었다. 문장초 방해/중복과 문장내 방해/중복도 집단간 차이는 없었다. 넷째, ‘인접쌍’에서는 집단간 차이가 없었다. 적절한 인접쌍에서도 집단간 차이가 없었으나, 부적절한 인접쌍에서는 집단간 유의미한 차이가 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the features of turn-taking between children with mental retardation. Children with mental retardation participated in this study could at least structure sentences with two words and exhibit minimum of developmental language-age of three to four years. Ten mentally retarded children were matched with ten normal children. Conversational speech samples between the researcher and each child were collected. Dependent variables included turn-taking, initiation and response, repair and revision, interruption/overlap, and adjacency pairs. The results of the study showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in every dependent variable, except for a number of specifically appropriate situations.
