파열 기식음 오류를 보이는 조음장애 아동의 치료

국문 초록

파열음에 오류를 보이는 기능적 조음장애 아동의 대부분은 기식음을 긴장음화시키는 오류를 빈번하게 보이고 있는데, 본 음성언어치료실에 의뢰된 기능적 조음장애 아동 중 이와 같은 파열 기식음의 긴장음화를 보이는 아동 네 명의 조음선별 검사 결과, 파열 기식음 오류 외에 /ㅎ/ 가 생략되는 오류가 공통적으로 나타남을 관찰할 수 있었다. 음향학적 측면에서 볼 때, 기본음에 /ㅎ/ 와 유사한 소리가 첨가되는 자음이 기식음이라는 점을 생각해 보면, 이러한 아동들이 기식음의 오류를 보이는 이유가 /ㅎ/ 의 정조음이 어렵기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 이에 근거하여 파열 기식음에 오류를 보이는 아동들의 조음 오류를 치료하기에 앞서 /ㅎ/ 의 정조음 유도 및 개선을 목표로 치료를 실시한 후 파열 기식음을 시도적으로 조음해 보도록 했을 때 네 아동 모두 별다른 유도 과정 없이 바로 파열 기식음이 정조음되는 현상을 나타내었다. 이에 본 논문은 이 네 아동의 치료 과정을 소개하고, 그 음향학적 배경을 고찰해 보며, 파열 기식음 오류를 보이는 조음장애 아동의 치료시 /ㅎ/ 의 정조음 상황도 고려해야 함을 제언하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Kor ean has three types of plosiv es : slightly aspir at ed (/ p/ , / t/ , / k/ ), unaspir at ed (/ p / , / t / , / k / ), an d h eav ily a spir at ed (/ ph/ , / t h / , / kh / ). Furth ermor e, it is not uncommon t o fin d in childr en the co- occurrence of mis articulat ion s of heavily aspirated plosisv es an d th e delet ion of th e glot t al fricativ e, / h/ . T h e delet ion of / h/ seems to un derlie the sub stitut ion due t o the common propert ies of / h/ and h eav ily a spir at ed plosiv es . T h e su bj ect s of t h e pr es ent r es ear ch w er e fou r ch ildr en ag ed 4;0, 4;1, 5;5, an d 7;0 who sh owed both the sub st itution and the deletion of / h/ . It was found that th e childr en were able to produce the heavily aspirated plosiv es upon complet ion of the tr eatment of their / h/ - delet ion , with n o sub s equent int erv ent ion of the plosiv es . It is , thu s , r ecommended that speech - language pathologist s should a s ses s the produ ct ion s of / h/ sound prior to the t r eatment of th e heav ily a spir ated plosives.
