The industrial craft of Korea is not only changing from a field of knowledge industry that has been expanding its territ ory to a pro fessio nal field that is playing a key role in developing cultura l goods but also playing an important role on the stage of the international mar ket in the 2 1st century. The purpose of this study is, there fore, to examine detailed, broad plan for the devel opment of cultural goods specific to cach region. First. the properties and distribut ion areas of loess were examined, and thc effec ts of loess on human bod y and its adva ntages wer e det ermin ed . Then, an attempt was made to develop natu rc-fri endly and thc mos t Korcan -st yle cultura l goods by a pplyin g th e ef fec ts and adva ntages to util ity goods. clothes, and accesso ries through dyeing. Dyein g cxper irncnt s wcre carried out se veral times with ye llow soil taken from specific rcgionstJinju , Hadong and Gyeongj u) until the most mystic and natural color were obtained. Various changes in dyeing techn iques were also attempted through compound dyeing based on loess and flower plants. A variety of ye llow soil dyeing were performed through compound dye ing by adding mordants, such as glutinous rice paste, alum, bean ju ice pine resin extrac twith aro ma added, and ace tic acid , at dyei ng of the yellow soil. Adhesive power were reinforced by adding glue solution as a means for preventing decoloration when washing loessdyed goods. In addition, the name of the brand 'Ggo tda-zi' was made. and was printed on eac h work.to promote full-sca le marketing activities and to create a professional design brand.
