영문 초록

Artists produced the works of art and craft based on a church to cultivate their mind and improve the technics learned from clergymen early in the middle age . They were independent gradually and managed workshops as journeymen or masters. And they naturally formed guild along with the growth of the city. Guild in the middle age s had a purp ose for produ cer s, which protect s apprenti ce in the workshop , production and sale, all life among members. Their group shared with the problem of the se lling pri ce or demand and supply. They had brotherly basicall y and also strong consciousness on their assoc iation. They tried to produce the best artifacts and wanted to be journe ymen and masters whose procedure needs through training and over ten years for that training. Guild in nineteenth century, which pursued guild in the middle ages, and Weiner Werkstatte or Bauhaus in the twenti eth ce ntury constitute the common world of artifacts surfass ing the time. Craftsmen co nsidered the 'art and cra ft' as a total a rt.They shared the community consciousness with each other freely in the broad workshops. They wanted to treat the artifacts sincerely, which have the function of beauty and use at the same time. They desired to love the society and people through the artifacts with more open thought. The aim of this study is to recognize 'art and cra ft' , the open concept and thought, should reveal itself in front of the disordered 2I century mingled with technology culture and art.
