영문 초록

Thi s research ex amines co nsumers ' and manufactures' percepti ons on the bamboo craft products made in Korea. Based on the survey resul ts, this study proposes design development strateg ies through the cooperation between uni versiti es and bamboo craft industry The results of the survey admini strated to co nsumers and manufactur ers were that the qua lity of domestic bamboo products were high ly evaluated than that of imported product s by both of them. However, the manufacturers felt need for upgrading of their product design and desired to le arn mod ern desig n techn iqu es for th eir prod uct impro vements. Parti cularly, the manufacturer s wanted to e nhance their desi gn s tanda rds through the cooperation between universities and industry. Finally, the study suggests integrati ve development strategies for bamboo related businesses.
