국문 초록

본 연구에서는 78명의 2-3세 아동의 자발화 문장을 의미론적으로 분석하여, (1) 의미단위수(평균의미단위수, 최장의미단위수, 최빈도의 미단위수)가 연령에 따라 차이가 있는지와 평균발화길이와의 상관도를 살펴보고, (2) 개별 의미유형의 빈도 및 사용한 아동율을 분석하여 이 시기에 많이 사용하는 의미유형을 고찰하며, (3) 2-4어 의미관계의 빈도 및 사용한 아동율을 분석하여 그 출현순위를 살펴보았다. 연구의 결과, 평균의미단위수와 최장의미단위수는 연령집단 간에 유의미한 차이를 나타내었으며, 평균낱말길이와의 상관도에서는 세 척도 모두 유의미한 상관이 있었으나, 특히 평균의미단위수가 모든 연령집단에서 매우 높은 상관도를 나타내었다. 개별 의미유형 분석 결과는 체언부에서는 대상, 실체, 행위자가, 용언부에서는 행위, 상태서술, 실체서술이, 수식부에서는 용언수식, 장소, 부정이, 그리고 대화요소에서는 대답이 90 % 이상의 아동들에게서 사용되었다. 90 % 이상의 아동들이 사용한 의미관계는 대상-행위와 실체- 서술뿐이었다. 본 논문에서는 2-3세 아동에게서 높은 빈도로 나타난 의미관계들을 빈도순위로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study was design ed t o s emantically analy ze 2- to 3- y ear - old Kor ean childr en s spont aneou s utt er an ces . A t ot al of 78 childr en s lan gu age samples wer e collect ed an d analy zed. Fir st , the number of s emantic unit s which is a measur e of utterance len gth wa s calculat ed in thr ee way s : th e mean , th e max imum, an d the mode. Secondly , th e s emantic roles an d r elation s fr equently u s ed wer e an aly zed in terms of the fr equ ency of occurr en ce and per cent age of childr en . T he r esult s showed that the mean an d th e max imum number of semantic unit s ar e significantly differ ent amon g 4 ag e group s (2- , 2½- , 3- , 3½) an d ar e highly corr elat ed with th e corr espon ding mean length of utt er an ce in words (MLU-W). T he semantic roles of object , entity , agent , action , st at ement , attribute, locativ e, and n egation wer e the most fr equ ently u sed. Mor e than 90 % of the childr en u sed them. In th e cas e of two- unit s emantic r elation s , object - action , entity - statement , and background action wer e found to be most fr equent . More than 80% of th e childr en u s ed th em. T h e thr ee- unit s emantic r elation s which wer e most fr equently u sed wer e th e ext ention of the alr eady acquired two- unit s emantic r elation s . T he two t ables in the paper show th e hierarchy of th e s emantic roles and th e 2- t o 4- unit semanticr lations .
