영문 초록

For music contents, which take up the Largest percentage in entertainment industry, handling of tho rights, such as copyright ate, is not simple since they are going used in diverse ways am with complicated rights, Due to such reasons, necessity of collective administration of copyright was raised and historically, collective administration system has been developed by copyright management services that focus on performance rights of non-dramatic musical works of which it is extremely difficult for individual copyright holders to grant another parson authorization to exploit tho contents and to monitor violation of tho rights. Recently, with advancement of IT, diverse and now ways of using musical contents are being continuously developed Also, demand for collective administration of copyright on music contents, such as MP3, in digital environment is further increasing, In tho present legal system of Korea, collective administration of copyright is going promoted through regulation of copyright management services under Copyright Act As focus is being placed recently on problems and importance of collective administration of copyright, establishment of Act on copyright management services is in process in order to prepare new systematic foundation for copyright management services, In this study, I bristly introduced tho characteristics of music contents as well as significance am necessity of collective administration system, Also, by examining tho overview am status of collective administration system in Korea, problems in copyright management services system were raised, Then, I presented my personal opinions on tho ways of improving collective administration system and made several suggestions in relation to tho plans of establishing Act on copyright management services,
