본 연구에서는 첫째, 가야대학교가 설정하고 이는 벤처시민교육의 목적이 무엇이며 어떤 배경하에서 벤처시민상을 정립하고 있는지를 서술하고, 둘째, 가야대학교에서 시행하고 있는 벤처시민교육의 목적과 교육의 바탕이 되고 있는 가야문화특성화정책을 간략히 소개하며, 셋째, 가야대학교의 벤처시민교양교육과정의 교육목표, 조직과 운영, 실적과 성과를 고찰한 다음, 넷??, 결론부분에서는 향후 과제에 관하여 언급하고자 한다.
영문 초록
This research tries to find out strategy, organization, and practice of the venture citizens general education for Kaya University students.
The goal of the venture citizens general education is to cultivate the basic natures of the internationally, culturally, and technologically oriented experts who serve for the development of local community, nation, and global human society with world wide perspective and intelligence, on the ground of Kaya University's precept, "honesty, diligence, and creativity". The basic natures of "the internationally, culturally, and technologically oriented experts" include five different characters: practical, intellectual, global, specialized, and leading characters.
Kaya's Culture Specialization Policy(KCSP) was established as the main strategy to achieve such a goal in 1998. KCSP comprises the three interrelated practical subjects; the restoration of ancient Kaya's history and culture, the modernized restoration of Kaya's people, and the globalization of Kaya's culture. KCSP gives strong historical - cultural identity to the students who want to be venture citizens.
In terms of organization and practice, Kaya University's general education program is opening formal and informal curriculum. Formal curriculum consists of History of Kaya's Culture, Human and Ethics, Modern Society and Ethics, Guidance 1, Guidance 2, English Conversation, informatization - related subjects, History of Science, etc.. And informal curriculum is organized for students to get historical - cultural meaning from their festival(Gochunwon Festival) and activities.
Past four years' performances of KCSP since 1998 have been accessed as one of the successful cases of venture citizens general education. Nevertheless, KCSP needs to be more institutionalized and have a long-term plan, for the globalization of Kaya's culture will be realized on the ground of profound studies and researches on Kaya's culture.
