국문 초록

본고는 학교현장의 교수-학습과정에서 중요한 매체로서 멀티미디어의 중요성을 인식하고 공학적 접근에 대한 새로운 인식 전환의 계기를 마련함과 동시에 그 구체적인 사항에 대한 이해와 활용에 도움을 주고자 한다. 이를 위해 멀티미디어의 개념 및 구성요소를 알아보고 새로운 학습환경으로서의 멀티미디어 환경의 특징과 교육적 잠재력 및 문제점에 따른 해결 방안에 대한 모색해 보며 이를 기초로 멀티미디어를 효과적인 교수-학습도구로 활용할 수 있는 방법과 멀티미디어를 활용한 앞으로의 수업설계 방향에 대해 논의해 보고자 한다.

영문 초록

Multimedia is the combination of sound, animation, graphics, video, and related elements into a single program or system. This new technology is a kind thing of the most interesting types of programs available for use at all levels of the educational system and holds tremendous potential for use in the schools. Key elements of multimedia are natural presentation of information and non-linear navigation of applications for access to information on demand. The basic components of multimedia system are video, audio, memory devices, interface, and authoring languages and authoring tools. And efficiency and effectiveness are reasons for using in learning. The purpose this paper was to investigate the types and strategies of instruction-learning methods using this new multimedia, recognizing the importance of a new learning environment. For these purposes, I reviewed characteristics and components of multimedia, types of multimedia applications, and ways of producing multimedia lessons and suggested the teaching strategies for using multimedia effectively.
